Aspic and the libraries has been upgraded. This includes major and minor updates.
Major updates
- A new and more powerful solver has been included. By default, when the simulation ends, results are available only at the input and output ports of the circuit. A new option "Full Port Simulation" allow to access to every port.
- All the data and information of a circuit can be exported in a text file named “Report”, readable with Excel or another spreadsheet. This allows to check rapidly the parameters of every BB, eventually modify and reload in Aspic. Once reloaded the Report, all the Building blocks are updated automatically. The Report is a precious aid when working with large circuits.
- The variables defined in the Variable Table can be saved on a text file and, if needed, modified and imported in Aspic. Also, new variables can be added in the text file and loaded as well.
- Vector variables have been added. Organized in large data files can be loaded with a simple click. Vector variables can be independent or even dependent on other variables.
- Now all the curves shown in the APlot window can be exported on a single text file and used for further processing.
- A BB can be searched and selected by defining one of its ports
Minor updates
- The term Building Block (BB) is now used in place of “component”
- Few examples have been updated with the last version of BB
- The BB compiler has been improved
- The Smart draw is now more robust
- A direct link to the Example Circuit folder has been added in File Menu
- The Lens modality is now faster and improved
- The Recalculate Layout function is directly accessible from Project Menu
- Improved general software stability
- Minor bugs in APlot solved
- Documentation and Manual improved and extended
EuroPIC Release
In addition, a version "2.8 - Europic" is available through the EuroPIC EU project.
The EuroPIC version includes the building blocks available in the foundries involved in the project.
